Critical illness insurance provides a lump-sum cash benefit if you’re diagnosed with a serious illness like cancer, heart attack, stroke, or kidney failure, helping to cover costs not paid by traditional health insurance.

You’re free to use the funds for anything—medical bills, lost income, travel for treatment, or daily living expenses.

Yes, we assist with ACA enrollment and can help you determine subsidy eligibility based on your income and household size.  Many families do qualify for a subsidy which can lower your health insurance premium to $0.

ACA health plans offered through Running Shius Agency do not exclude coverage for pre-existing conditions.

For ACA health insurance, you can enroll during the Enrollment Period (typically November 1st through January 15th) or anytime of the year if you qualify for a Special Enrollment Period due to life events like a change in your doctor’s coverage, moving, job change/loss, marriage/divorce, and others.

⦁ You can enroll during specific periods:
⦁ Initial Enrollment Period (IEP): 3 months before, during, and 3 months after your 65th birthday month.
⦁ General Enrollment Period (GEP): January 1 – March 31, with coverage starting July 1. Late enrollment may result in penalties.
⦁ Special Enrollment Period (SEP): Triggered by events such as losing employer coverage or moving.

It depends. Some employer plans coordinate with Medicare. Special Enrollment Periods often apply, so it’s important to review your options before your 65th birthday.

Late enrollment may result in penalties or gaps in coverage. Special Enrollment Periods may apply if you qualify due to certain life events.
